Do it the easy way if you can but long steamers aren't such a big deal to make... Use the heavy gauge 4" PVC pipe and piece it together as long as you want. Then clamp a hose between it and a kettle. For soaking strips you can cut the pipe lengthwise and make a long trough.
I've used both methods to help make bends. So far I've only had to go up to 4 feet long. Quick, cheap, disposable.
