I built a Coho from the Pygmy kit. After my experiences with sit on top plastic designs and canoes, the diffence in a good stitch and glue design is night and day. The plastic boats now seem like real pigs.

As far as durability, in one of my day trips I hit a submerged post covered with barnacles. The post was apparently an old channel market that had been broken off slightly below water level. I was at full cruise at the time, and the hit was hard enough to almost dump me out of the boat. The varnish on my boat bottom took a nasty scratch, and the epoxy was slightly abraded. Tough little boat.
