I'd also agree with Jay. Ordinary tissue paper works fine. I got mine at a craft store. It came in several large sheets. Same stuff a gift might be wrapped in. As for printing, I also taped the tissue to a regular piece of paper and then ran the combo through. The regular paper just acts as a backing or support for the tissue. The tissue side should be what gets printed on. I found it worked best if I just taped the top (leading) edge of the tissue. My designs went under the glass, but others here have put them on top so the can be removed or replaced later. The red/brown colors have faded some. You probably need special colorfast inkjet cartridges to prevent that.
It was also mentioned here that a special decal paper could be used. Haven't tried it, but it sounded good.
