: during a week of our spring break in March to help build a kayak. None of

: overseen by several faculty members. The group of students would be small,
: perhaps 6-9 kids. We wanted someone with a bit of experience, passion for
: building, and experience/or at least a desire to work with high school

I think it is hard to build a kayak in one week.

A flat bottom skiff styled boat/canoe can be build in one week also it requers no fiberglass and epoxi.
