In Response To: Idea for quiet toggle (mike allen --->)

I think a slick way to attach the handles into their depression would be a couple of rare-earth magnets, embedded in epoxy for rustproofing. The toggle rope would have to go down into a sealed chamber below the deck (that would have to be drained...) but I think it would work pretty well.

I'm building a hybrid CLC North Bay, and will post pictures and plans of my toggles when I'm done. I can just imagine - first the Leidy Lid, then the Osborn Toggle!
