I tried to do both at once - dont do it. The 'up' side opn my Spring Run fell down, and I had to go in afterward with a custom modified rasp, and try to gring the cured mess of tape off up in the bow. I ended up just grinding as best I could, and adding something kin to an 'end pour'...

I think the easiest way to get the tips is to cut pcs of glass about 24" long, and work them in. Once youre far enough out of the end to work the tape by hand ( no extend-a-stick ), the mid-section is easy. Overlapping the tape a smidge doesnt show anyway, and it's in a spot easy to sand.

: I used the hot glue to attach the tape method on the inside, so I'm hoping
