Other: Inuit Art on Kayaks

We are thinking about making some Inuit or Malecite style drawings/paintings on our Guillemot Double. The Art teacher has offered to assist. I'm not sure how to go about this. Should the drawings be done on rice paper and then epoxied in? We are also looking for ideas of possible images. Any thoughts, opinions or experiences on this topic would be appreciated.
