That was one time the bear was chewing me. This is my first strip project, (my first kayak, period), and since I admired Joe Greenly's pretty deck designs, I thought I'd go him one better, (Can you spell "HUBRIS"?) and bring the design all the way around the boat. Hah! Bad idea!
I soon found out that it's not a newbie thing to do. It's not that hard, once you learn a few basic techniques, but I really regretted not just making my first attempt a plane jane kayak. That's one of the reasons the project sat for a year.
I can't say I'm sorry I did it, though, 'cause it sure is pretty!
