In Response To: Epoxy: MAS VS. RAKA (Don)

: Started on my 5th boat this week. every boat so far, I've used MAS epoxy.
: Been very happy with MAS, but checking on web site, and RAKA is almost 1/2
: of the price. Would like to save the money, but dont want to use an
: inferior product. Any info to the two epoxies would be helpful. Thanks,
: Don
..I have never used MAS epoxy..but I do read a lot of the notes on the CLC web site and others. I still can't understand why people would use epoxy that blushes when there are non-blush epoxies like RAKA available.
I originally bought RAKA for my first boat to save some $$. I have since used their 350 / 127 combo on a stripper and several S&G boats. I have never seen any blush, ever. It sets up slow so I don't ever have to worry about working time. If there is a reason not to use RAKA I haven't found it yet.
good luck, addison
