Congratulations on a cheap find!

I love Myrl's 2" guide frame idea---use it!!!!!! I haven't tried it, but I guarantee you it will work.

Instead of a saw, a kitchen bread knife or electric carving knife works great. Use a serrated knife that has smooth "scallop" serrations, rather than jagged "sawtooth" serrations for the smoothest cut. With a knife, you're not removing any material, just slicing it, and it works like a hot knife through buttah. After you bury the blade in the foam, it helps to slip a small block or scrap of foam into the cut to spread it, so the friction on the blade is less and you will cut quicker.
