: Anybody from my marina (or from this board, though the flight isn't offered)
: may paddle or sail my real or future boats on a phone call.

Where ya at? I may drop by some year and take you up on this.

: The clever feature in a dismantling boat is you only have to take one panel
: away to make the thing unusable for 11 months.

Well, there is your answer. build a S&G or atripper, and leave a bottom panel or strip unglued. Instead, mount it to the boat with a flexible rubber gasket and bolts. When the panel is bolted on you have a leakproof boat, at the end of the season you remove the bolts and the panel, or strip, leaving a large gaping hole in the bottom of the boat -- a sure thing to discourage "borrowers"

: Or the bolted way, à la Volkscomponent kayak.

This is another possibility, and I think it is a good one. I'll build a future boat this way.

: Laissez le bon temps rouler.

Which I understand is translated into "Let the good times roll".

or for a kayaker maybe that should be changed to something like , "Let the good times be when you are rolling." :)
