The epoxy used in CPES is actually a very slow-setting epoxy derived from wood by-products (I THINK from Kraft paper mills). And it does not blush. So, wipe-down is not required when one coat of CPES is used for wood protection, because the grain of the wood will still be "standing" and form the tooth for subsequent coatings. As always, if applying ANY coating to a glossed surface (any standard resin or several coats of CPES) it is a good idea to promote adhesion surface by scuffing off the gloss.
