Glue seems to be OK so far.........

I just removed the clamps from one of the outside stems. The temp was in the 20's in the garage during the whole curing process. I let the glue cure for 24 hours and even tho the stem took considerable force to bend into shape, it didn't fly off when I took the clamps off. Appears that the glue works well even at cold temperatures. I'm going ahead with the project even tho we will get lots of cold temperatures before spring. I think before I turn the kayak over to strip the deck I will apply reinforced tape at several places across the hull and at the stems to help hold things together just in case.
What I really needed was some encouragement to go ahead and that's what I got from you folks on the bulletin board. Or maybe I just heard what I wanted to hear. Either way, I'll continue to lurk until the next doubt or problem arises.
Thanks all.
