I used Pro Basic from New Wave Systems http://www.newavesys.com/ to design the Sea Spirit. It took some time for me to learn how to use it. I also had to import the hull into a CAD program to develop the deck, deckbeams, coaming and bulkheads. I enjoyed the experience, and still do.
