Joe,
I sanded away the underside glass about 1-2" each side of the center. I then reglassed the area and clamped the hatch back in place with straps while the epoxy cured. Make sure you don't epoxy it to the hatch lips. I also put a couple wedges under the straps to slightly over bend the hatches to compensate for a little spring back which happened with my first attempt. This put the hatch back to it's original shape of the deck.
