If you do varnish, this is truly the time where less is more. Too many coats will just increase you chance of cracks. People on the Greenland site are using Zar Polyurethane varnish. Poly has more flexability than spar. You may want to post it on that site - you'll get loads of answers from people who have used varn. ove canvas.
