I've played enough with the compressed srayer to know about adjustments and thinning. Since the HVLP has it's own turbine (albeit 1 stage) and it's own gun, I guess I'll consider what they send as a set that works together.
My assumption is that painting any latex (for momma's projects) will require almost a 3 parts water to 1 part paint. My concern is that at 4 lbs. of pressure, I can't see how the sprayer can even suck up the paint - let alone atomize it. Will be interesting to see how it works.
Spraying laquer, I use a thinner proportion of about 1 to 3 (instead of 3:1) and have had good results. Unfortunately, my last effort was done in mid-summer and I forgot (???) about humidity. Even with a filter I had problems. After drying time, I resanded and then re-shot it in September when temps and humidity was lower.
After I get a chance to fool with it - I have lots of cardboard - I'll post impressions.
