I'll vouch for the Pygmy, as well.
I'm quite happy with mine.
Nice boat, and fairly quick to build.
It will easily carry a 200 lb guy, a 100 lb lab, and then some.
As will most doubles, I think.
Actually, I think it paddles even better with 100 lbs of gear in it.
