The coaming that Spidey built is based on Vaclav Stejskal of One Ocean Kayaks work . Both Vaclav http://www.oneoceankayaks.com/Wshophtm/Shop15.htm and Spidey describe the major steps of the process on their websites (as do I.) Vaclav also has a booklet "Ocean Kayak built the cedar strip way" that I found full of helpful tricks and methods. I combined Nick's coaming riser technique with Vaclav's carbon fiber coaming rim on my boat.

By the way, Spidey leveraged the work of Joe Greenley of Redfish Kayaks http://www.redfishkayak.com/index.htm for the soft padeyes.
