: Can you
: tell me what a "Day Hatch" is. I'll build a front and rear
: hatch, is the "day" hatch the rear one or is it something
: else???
A day hatch is commonly located directly behind the cockpit where it can be reached while in the boat. Typically, it is separated from the rear hatch by a bulkhead (fixed or fabric) so that you don't fill a huge area with water if you get hit by a way while the hatch is open.
By the way, I'm with Van on the decklines. I know the boat looks really nice with a clean deck, but your ability to help someone else, or be helped is reduced by the lack of decklines.
