...standard Greenland-style deck rigging. After trying it on my SOF, I've completely given up on bungee cord. Using rope and tightening toggles results in a much more secure grip on the paddle. Using a Greenland paddle enhances he utility of this system, as the buoyancy of the paddle allows it to function without the addition of a paddle float and also to be used as a stability enhancing outrigger when sitting in the boat. The outrigger works even better on the foredeck, but requires a relatively flat or gently curved deck. Sharply peaked decks don't work well.
