That's an intresting set-up Lee Moyer has...does anyone know if the "redfish" type webbing loops provide too much friction for a nylon cord to be used as a "cleat"? What about strength?
If not, what cleats would you use that might be aesthetically acceptable on a wood-strip kayak?
Also, could you re-arrange the cleat to a criss-cross configuration for slightly more coverage?
