I'm using shock cord with the native deck line set-up. The lines go
straight across the deck. Pairs are connected with Corian© sliders,
good if you're a vegetarian, instead of bone.
I like the native style paddle hold downs near each stem that have 3/4" wood
beads that allow you to slide your paddle under from the cockpit.
