Straight lines work so much better than the zigzag lines all the N. American manufacturers put on their boats. They think it looks purty, but that design is next to worthless.

: I like the native style paddle hold downs near each stem that have 3/4"
: wood beads that allow you to slide your paddle under from the cockpit.

I use a double fisherman knot to hold my paddle hold down off the deck.
