Ah, Scott ... I thought you were lost somewhere in the Bay Area!

I've corresponded with Ross and a couple of others during this ordeal and I've called Ken every other day. I've done TONS of test strips using all the methods except slits, kerf cuts and laminating. With my wood, the reject rate is very high regardless of the method. I think the biggest problem is the wood itself. I've concentrated on thinning the cockpit area to 3/16" and using dry heat ... the Rob Macks method. I've done 2 test strips ... so far so good. I'll try the real thing today.
