: Today I unpacked 1x1 yard piece of fiberglass cloth I purchased at Home
: Depot. I cut it in three strips (12",11",11") and use it to
: lay extra fiberglass on the bottom of the boat. I also used additional
: scraps on the bow edge and a scap 2" piece on the stern. I glassed
: the whole mess over to make my boat stronger.
: I'm going on a hockey trip until Monday. The hull will cure and dry
: completely. When I come back I will sand the whole thing meticulously
: before I apply fill coat over the entire thing. Then I will see whether I
: need another fill coat. If not I will finally flip the wherry over and
: start working on the inside.
: Thanks to all the folks helping me along with this. I'm going to miss you for
: these 3 days I'm gone.
Hi Guy,
Before sanding your epoxy after three days cure time, please make sure it is truly fully cured. check your Epoxy data sheets, and account for the temperature of your work space. (maybe even increase the temperature while you are gone). Do use a resporator even if you feel it is fully cured. partially cured epoxy dust is pretty nasty, based on all the warnings I have read.
Now for somthing completly off topic:
Good luck with your hockey turnement, where are you playing... not Salt lake is it? If so, then good luck if you are on the Canadian team.
I don't watch much hockey, I do like to play it though. I'll watch Edmonton vs. Calgary, I'm from Edmonton, but live in Calgary now. (usually great games).
Oh oh, I feel a rant comming...
Boys Canada is Due for GOLD in hockey 50 years is way to long!!!. Three gold medals in one Olymics is not to much to ask, is it? I'm still a bit steamed that in Nagano, they chose Ray Bourque for the shoot out, Hello! he's a defence man, and with the Great One on the bench.
Anyways, here I am not working again...
cheers all,
Myrl
