When all else fails, don't use the box at the bottom with your picture's URL. Just paste it somewhere in the message area, like this:

http://www.geocities.com/yakpaddler12025/Feb17_03.JPG

The bbs software will identify it as a URL and if a reader clicks on it they should go to your picture.

It is not as pretty a presentation as having the picture with your message, and you dont get the little *pic* note in the subject line, but it sometimes works better. Of course, if you are posting multiple picture URLs, this is the only way to get them all in one message.
