Tom,
Whoops, Roger all points above. The only place I suggest using cab-o-sil in a boat is in end pours. Those bubbles get pretty big and in total can cut the weight of an end pour. I use cab-o-sil to flatten the crease along the keel near the stern some times to make packing a rear hatch easier. I don't use it to thicken epoxy. Instead, I use it to lighten pours in places I am trying to fill. Additional warning, I am not sure why but it is my experience that adding cabosil increases the heat generated in the curing. thus I do my end pours with my bow sititng in a bucket of water with a hose adding cooling water.

As Nick and Lee mentioned cabosil will mare the bright work finish. And add drag to the boat. The best way to avoid drips is to apply sparingly. I apply with an acid brush. then sqeegee. Keep the weave thirsty. DOn't let it pddle up. If you apply light you'll get less pools for drips to start with. For getting drips and runs I do every thing I can to get an even coat applied first. Squegees. I use a roller sparingly. I think it loosens the fabric. I find I have to use rollers when I have applied to much. More then the fabric needs to fill. A rolller jsut tells me need to be more sparing in my original application. When I do get drips (and I do :D) I use an acid brush to dispate them. Keep going over the boat in good light with an acid brush until the coat tacks up and no longer can run. In the end don't worry the ocasional drip can be sanded out

If you have covered your boat in cabosil already....All I can suggest is to sand it off and start again.

Hang in there its just a detour, I suggest to bags of oreo cookies to releive the pain and suffering :)

: The key to avoiding drips and sags is getting the coat even and smooth. If
: you are careful you can actually end up applying quite a bit of resin in
: one coat.
