: I have been looking into mounting a sail on my Kayak and came across a couple
: of interesting sites. The one below is from Warren Multihulls. Two things I fould interesting about this manufacturer. One they sell plans for the home builder to make from cedar strip.
Second beause the hulls are symetrical you build a left and right side on a single set of half forms and glue them down the center. The smaller hull is made by adjusting the form spacing. At $300 it is a little too steep for me.
However, this got me thinking about building a kayak this way (left/right vs hull/deck). It might allow the use of vacuum bag to get a stronger and/or lighter layup. You could cut your molds in half vertically and mount them on a flat table for striping and glassing.
