I've been doing a bunch of glassing lately and had lots of time to think about the process... Figure you've got plenty of open time before the epoxy kicks (unless you are in a very warm environment). The cloth will tend to float off the surface of the boat leaving a (heavy) layer of epoxy beneath it; you may not notice it at first. Squeegee out the excess epoxy leaving a nice matte surface. It's possible to squeegee too much whick makes a whitish color in the fabric; if that happens mix up one pump of resin and smear it over the effected area with your finger while everything is still relatively wet. The fabric is easier to squeegee after it has setup a little so I don't do any squeegeeing until the whole boat is wet-out. Most bubbles will come out with the squeegeeing (unless there is a void under the glass).

Some films don't respond well when you go back over them wet - like paint. Epoxy is not that way; keep going back over it until you are satisfied the film is thin and the glass tight. Oh, and don't forget to cover the floor with a dropcloth/cardboard/whatever... take my word for it :)
