There seems to be a global shortage of kayak manufacturers who build for really small paddlers (my daughter is currently 16kg). Strip-building is the only way to go. Here are some pages describing my reasons for building my first boat, the "Geyrfugl", a Great Auk at 5/6 the size of the published plans, along with a bevvy of pics of the boat and some of the unusual features (recessed deck fittings etc.) The boat is essentially finished - I'll update the pages when Sarah actually gets to take it on the water.
