In Response To: Other: Pricing on kits (Jeremy Lucca)
I live in Central Alberta Canada. We have access to wood of most all species but it is expensive. A friend and I drive around the countryside looking for abandoned farms and houses. We found one that was built in 1908. on the prairies the air is quite dry so the wood is well preserved. After having permission from the landowners we got enbough cedar from siding and tongue and grove flooring to make two full size strip kayaks. I spent about 150 bucks on tools , glue, tape so far. Of course the glass and the epoxy are anotehr story.
