Order direct to get the Bosworth foot pump with a lighter (20 pound) spring. Last fall, I ordered a Guzzler 400-S Foot Pump with a lighter spring from Bosworth. They were very responsive, and I received the order within 10 days. The pump cost $52.60 and shipping from Rhode Island to Seattle cost me about $7.00 for the pump and a strainer.

Go to Bosworth's Web site and check out the products before you call. They make a variety of end connections for the Guzzler pumps, with internal and external threading if you want to connect your pump to a rigid intake and output system. Bosworth also makes some very nce reinforced hose that you might consider at least for the intake side of your system. I found the Bosworth at a local marine supply store for about $2.00/ft. I haven't seen the foot pump with a lighter spring available at local stores, though I'm sure a local store could order it for you.
