It would be easier to glue up larger blocks (like Nick shows) and then use your table saw to rip the blades to final thickness. Then steam bend them to shape. I'd recommend using polyurethane glue if you're going to steam bend--the epoxy will let up.

: 4. Make a Greenland paddle.

Not a bad option either.
