Strip: Final Sanding grit on inside hull?

Hi,

I am just about finished with sanding the hull interior. I did it all by hand and have used 40 grit so far. I had intended to do the final passes with 60 then 80 grit. But now I wonder if it would be better for penetration and grip to leave it with the 40 grit. I am not thinking of this to save the additional sanding but the finish at 40 grit is surprisingly smooth looking and I wanted to know if any of you guys think leaving the finish sanding before the seal coat at 40 grit is a good or bad idea ??? Hoping to get to sealin' this bad puppy tonight.... Thanks!

Joe
