I was at an experimental aircraft composite workshop a number of years ago and they (Ron Alexander and Co.)stressed that the epoxy strength will be dependent on the curing temp. And that some manufacturers of glass/foam/epoxy composites cure in an oven just below the melting temp of the foam cores for added strength and so that the components shape is not altered by future high temperatures as could be encountered from sitting on the tarmac in desert climates

May be a concern to yak builders if somehow the epoxy actually acheives a full cure at reduced temps.
