Louis, I look at building these wooden boats as much of a hobby as is the use of the boat itself. It isn't cheap when you add up the cost of your tools and materials and trips looking for these things. Although I do try to get good deals on everything and tell myself it's cheap. You also give up a lot of your time to build these boats, so building must fun for you. But the deep satisfaction you get from building one of these boat is great.
