Probably a very good choice Marc. I don't think it will be a big problem. You can get a jig-saw in there to cut the majority of the form and then just use a back saw or pull saw to get to the ends. When you draw out your cockpit and then where you want the recess to be, it will give you the height of where you need to cut your forms. There are others who have done this and I'm sure you will hear from them first hand.... shortly! Good Luck, as the recessed cockpit areas are very nice looking and also very beneficial.
