: cockpit 14 to 16 inches behind the center of buoyancy. For really low back
: decks it could be closer. For really large paddlers it might need to be
: farther.

I agree with Nick, I put the paddler's weight back of center to keep the nose of the boat
a little light to naturally rise over waves. I place my seat so the knees or just above are
at the balance point.
