You can probably get away with no inner seam tape if you have a shear clamp. It may not be "best practice" but it should be sufficient in most situations. If you've used a sheer clamp in your stitch and glue boats and it has been sufficient, there is no reason why it shouldn't work equally as well on a stripper. Make sure you have very well sealed the wood of the sheer clamp as it will not have the glass to protect it.
