: Does anyone have an opinion on using the "aluminum ladder
: strongback" for a kayak?
: Here it is: http://tremolo.wcha.org/ladder.html
: Thanks - Chris

You can bolt that aluminum ladder to a roof rack for added support along the length of a kayak when transporting it. Cradles for holding the kayak can be made of wood, and "clamped" to the ladder squeezing the ladder between the bottom of the cradles and another block of wood, using long bolts and nuts.
