That's what I thought of too. I used screws to hold my stems in place while the epoxy cured... Shaved a few pieces of candle scraps in a pie tin and melted them with my propane torch. Then threw in a dozen screws and fished them out with tweezers. When I went to back them out of the stems, they glided right out no problem. The star bit in my drill however was permanently glued into the holder No big deal but next time I'll wax it too. I covered the holes with plugs and they are barely visible.
