Clear 2" wide packing tape right on top of your existing layout lines helps. Cut a little wide and use your block plane to shave to the mark.
After cutting you should take your matching right and left panels and clamp them face to face and plane them together to the mark. This will put the cutting layout mark on the back (inside) of the panel where the tear out occurs and more importantly help keep your hull symetrical.
If you have parts you will not glass (like the coaming), coating with epoxy (and curing) before you cut helps. Be aware that when putting packing tape on epoxy or varnish it will leave some of its glue behind (but not on bare wood).
