Hello all,
I'm a new kayak builder. I've read through Nick's strip built book, and I think I'm going to try my hand at building the Great Auk.
I'd like to do it completely by hand though rather then from a kit, which means cutting my own strips (and forms). I have a question in regards to this.
Between a table saw and a bandsaw, which would be more useful over all for building kayaks? I can see how a table saw would be more useful to me for other some of my other woodworking projects, but I'm curious, if I were to focus exclusively on kayaks, which would be the better all around tool to own.
If it makes any difference, I already own a jigsaw.
Thanks!
M
