put in a large plastic garbage bag to line the inside. Put your gear in the garbage bag and roll down the top, trapping ari around your gear. The Nylon dry/float bag protects the inner, thin, plastic bag from punctures, and the combination should hold air for flotation for quite some time should your kayak get punctured.
