A lot of us feel as you. I love my (19')Expedition Single, but my 12' tupperware boat tracks better. It has a pronounced keel, feature lines, and "channels" along the length of the hull. The ES hull is smooth and without feature. What keel it has does not enter the water unless I carry a lot of gear to increase draft. I plan to exaggerate the keel to make it more effective. I have humbly tried concentrating on and improving my stroke throughout last summer. It helps, but I don't think it is the root problem. Some good advice I got when I posted on this board was, You cannot "horse" this boat. You have to stroke it evenly and methodically for best tracking. I agree. PS- I see no real advantage in the 19'now. Wish I built the 17'.
