I use kayak@boatbuilding.com as my primary email, and for email notification of messages from the BBS. I use shawnkayak@yahoo.com for Paddlewise messages and stuff that might attract SPAM. I got the spam on the @boatbuilding.com address, but I'm not blaming you. It does seem to be a fairly targeted advertisement, (it probably only went to paddlers, rather than anyone with a working email address) but SPAM nevertheless.

I'm not upset even if they did harvest my address from the BBS. Like Ted said, it enables us to carry on some meaningful (but generally off-topic) conversations outside the BBS. I'm all for leaving the email addresses up.

I see WetDawg.com had an interview with Wayne Horodowich. I might email him and find out who their contact person is, and tell them that their SPAMming is on the fringes of integrity and might be the death-knell of an otherwise nice site.
