Here's a photo of my attic that has been converted from my wife's craftroom to a full blown boat building retreat. It's located in the addition I built and is about 500 sq.ft. of floor space (not all is useable though). The kayak is a S&G Chesapeake hull with a stripped deck. The hull is done except for primer and paint. The deck is made up of walnut, pine, mohagany, and many types of cedar. Almost all of the deck is made from recycled (used) boards that I already had. I ripped the strips on a $40 used tablesaw and routed bead and coves. I realize that stripping the deck this way takes longer and this boat will weigh a bit more, but I like the way it's turning out. The kayak will slip out the end window with a pulley and rope to a swingset outside, and I will start the next one. It's not an addiction.

Sorry this picture is so big, I need to reduce the size in PhotoShop or something.
