I spoke with Tom about this a few days ago. The blade he used in his shaper was from a cordless circular saw, which produced a kerf about 1/16" by 7/8" deep. Jesada (and probably most other mfrs) sell a 1/16" slotting router bit which should do the trick as well or better. If you don't have a router, then this is of course the perfect reason (not excuse - REASON) to get one. An elementary router table is very easy to make, and there you are.

:I`m sure this technique produces excellent results but I dont know where I would find a shaper.
