The only thing you need to consider is that things will align properly at the sheer line. If you don't have to do any sanding at the sheer line, then there is nothing I can think of to worry about.
Do you already have the hull planed and sanded? If not why not add another strip or two above the sheer line and sand over the sheer so the finished product will be fair between the two.
But once you add that first strip or two, you may not stop. But if you chose to, there is no reason not to separate the few strips added to the deck side and glass the hull. Or, if you think that the sheer line will be fair without any added attention to it, by all means go ahead and glass the hull.
But keep that hull on the forms as long as you can or until your ready to glass the inside of it.
